The transition is over.Altarius is authorised.
MiCA CASP · Authorised by the MFSALaunch your own regulated crypto investment products across Europe, on a ready-to-go EU AIFM and MiCA-authorised platform.
Enter the European market under an existing authorisation, without having to build your own AIFM or CASP infrastructure.
Since 1 July 2026, MiCA is the single rulebook for the crypto-asset services it covers across the European Union. Altarius did not wait for the deadline: authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority, the group secured its place.
Regulated in Malta since 2004. Offices in Malta, Geneva and Munich.
2. MiCA applies as one framework across 27 member states. Serving a client in another member state requires a passport notification, filed case by case as each client relationship arises.
What MiCA changes
One European framework replaces twenty-seven national regimes. Compliance stops being a filing and becomes a way of operating.
A national patchwork
More than 2,000 providers operated under fragmented national registrations, with uneven rules on capital, custody and disclosure.
The transition ends
National registrations no longer give access to EU clients. CASP authorisation is now a prerequisite to accessing the European market, and providers without one need a solution to keep serving it.
One rulebook, ongoing supervision
Authorised CASPs operate under a single framework: prudential capital, vetted governance, client-asset segregation requirements, AML and KYC on every relationship, ongoing review.

Twenty years of regulated asset management. Not a pivot, not a promise: an operating record, now carrying MiCA authorisation.
What Altarius operates
One regulated partner, not a product. Altarius makes its authorisations available to clients so they can create and run their own regulated structures. What the group holds, and what clients build on it.

The asset class is investible.
The challenge is accessing it through a regulated, institutional-grade framework.
We are already there.
Building a CASP or AIFM authorisation in-house means significant time, cost and uncertainty.
Proof before promise
In digital assets, claims are easy to make. Custody, governance and counterparty standing need to be checked.
A compliant partner, already operational.
Product roadmaps that touch crypto-assets now require an authorised counterparty.
The people behind the licence
Named, reachable, accountable. Regulation is carried by people, not paragraphs.
Three questions we actually get
The EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation: the first harmonised framework for the authorisation and supervision of crypto-asset service providers, with market-abuse rules and client protection, across all twenty-seven member states. It covers the crypto-asset services MiCA defines, among them reception and transmission of orders, portfolio management, custody, exchange and placing. Crypto-assets that qualify as financial instruments remain under MiFID, and activities outside those definitions fall outside MiCA.
The transitional period ended. National registrations no longer give access to EU clients. Only MiCA-authorised CASPs may provide MiCA-regulated crypto-asset services across the EU.
In the public MFSA financial services register. Select Investment Services, then AIFM, then Altarius Asset Management Limited. Nothing to take on trust.

Independent.Regulated in Malta since 2004 MiCA-authorised. Operational across asset classes. Your structures, under our licences.
From traditional instruments to crypto-assets, under one roof. One conversation is enough to establish whether Altarius fits the mandate.
